As Associate in the Consulting and Protection practice group, Mr. O’Rourke, serves as an expert on emergency preparedness and response, actively bringing a depth of knowledge to clients from his 25 years with the New Jersey State Police. His experience in all facets of police patrol in urban and rural communities provides guidance on assignments ranging from crime prevention to workplace violence to guard management and security program management. Mr. O’Rourke leads the planning and implementation of Insite’s managed security programs for global companies and the most prestigious residential buildings in New York City. As an expert trainer, he leads curriculum development and delivery of training programs covering situational awareness, defensive driving, active shooter response, executive protection and travel security, among others.
Moreover, Mr. O'Rourke has been the lead investigator on hundreds of investigations ranging from petty crimes, to robbery and murder. He holds a M.A. from Seton Hall University in Human Resources Training and Development and is an active member in a number of committees of ASIS International. Mr. O'Rourke is the published author of several books including Jersey Troopers: Sacrifice at the Altar of Public Service and Mystery, Millions & Murder in New Jersey: The Tragic Kidnapping of Exxon’s Sidney Reso.
