Insite Risk Management, a global provider of specialized security services and solutions, announced that Patrick B. Smith has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and Thomas Ditrano, PMP, will lead the firm’s Security Technology group. Both executives will be based at Insite’s headquarters in New York City. Mr. Ditrano, a certified project manager, will oversee all security technology and cyber security matters for Insite’s diverse client base. During his illustrious 20-year career with the New York Police Department, he attained the rank of Inspector and served as the NYPD Commanding Officer of the Information Technology Services Division. There, he became an expert in designing large-scale projects that utilized Lenel and Genetec systems. Mr. Ditrano holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Marist College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Molloy College.
Reporting to Insite CEO Christopher Falkenberg, Mr. Smith will focus on optimizing service delivery to ensure that the firm’s clients have access to the most comprehensive and scalable risk management solutions available. He has held positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at Amplify, the educational technology firm, and Managing Director at XQ Institute, a private foundation. He served in the U.S. Army in various leadership roles, ultimately attaining the rank of Captain, and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
