SECURITY TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Physical Security Systems group, which manages technologies related to access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems that operate in an IP-based networked environment. The Associate will work closely with senior Security Technology Consultants to assist in the set-up, coordination and troubleshooting of physical security systems in both corporate and residential settings. Trustworthiness, reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence are key attributes of the person in this position.

 

Candidates must have a strong technical background, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and have a desire to learn new skills in the specialized area of physical security systems. 

This is not a cybersecurity position.

 

This position is in-person at our NYC office.

Required Skills and Experience

• Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred (in relevant area such as Applied Science, or ideally, Network Engineering); 1-2 years of relevant professional experience (or combination).

• Demonstrated understanding of how to configure, install, diagnose, and troubleshoot microcomputer hardware components and operating systems software.

• Understanding of cloud-based networks, network protocols and standards, and system architectures.

• It is a plus to have exposure to technologies and methods related to enterprise physical security systems (Genetec, HID, Exacq, etc.), and biometric technologies, and/or working knowledge of home security solutions (Blink, Ring, etc.), and use of microcontrollers.

• Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness.

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

• Accustomed to completing work while meeting deadlines with competing priorities.

• Project management experience is a plus.

• Certification in Network + preferred but not required.
