Mr. al-Obide is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a certification issued by ASIS International. He leverages over 15 years’ experience in risk management strategy and operations to advise Insite’s clients on issues such as security program development, global threat management, crisis management and response, business continuity planning and executive protection. Mr. al-Obide led Insite's expansion into the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Region, overseeing the establishment of Insite's office in London and leading on client engagements throughout the EMEA Region.
Prior to joining Insite, Mr. al-Obide served as Associate Director at Control Risks where he managed physical security programs and designed physical security standards for Fortune 500 clients operating in high-risk areas.
Prior to his tenure at Control Risks, he held the position of Security and Intelligence Analyst with Aegis Defence Services in London and served as Linguist and Intelligence Specialist with the US Forces in Iraq before attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, where he was commissioned as an officer.
Fluent in Arabic, Mr. al-Obide holds a BA in International Business Management from the University of Westminster in London and an MBA from Imperial College Business School in London.
