As an expert in counter-terrorism and protective security, Joanna Boughtflower specializes in identifying and managing significant and complex risk across large organizations in both the public and private sectors. Based in London, she has joined Insite Risk Management Ltd. as Project Security Manager, where she will apply her expertise to develop security procedural improvements for the firm's holistic security programs and set the strategic direction of corporate security teams assigned to key clients.
Prior to joining Insite, Ms Boughtflower held the position of Security Manager at Virgin Media O2 where she supervised a cross-functional department accountable for personnel, physical and retail security. Also, she served as Senior Investigator at the Home Office. There Ms. Boughtflower managed relationships with senior policing to navigate conflicting priorities and political sensitivities and influenced strategic decisions and operational tactics for multiple concurrent national counter terrorism investigations. Prior to that, she served as an Analyst and subject matter expert on terrorism and the Syrian conflict at the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC).
Ms Boughtflower holds a BA with Honors from University of Oxford.
